8 weeks

Jenna is 8 weeks old now! Old enough for her second road trip, after all it's been 6 weeks since her last one. She's traveling this weekend with me to see my girlfriends from college. Should be interesting!

Tiles and stuff

Last week, Papa and Mima were here to see Jenna (and us) and help do some more house projects. The biggest was the tiling of the kitchen. It turned out beautifully! Also, I have only 2 or 3 more boxes to unpack. A huge thanks!

7 weeks

Our girl is 7 weeks old today. She is growing so fast! This week she has really started to socially smile and coo a lot more. She's wearing one of my favorite outfits that she will very soon outgrow and her new socks with crocheted ruffles from Mima, so I had to capture it.

8 years and 6 weeks

This week we celebrated our 8th anniversary and Jenna turning six weeks old. We went to dinner at the place where we ate on our first date. It was quite a different experience with a 6-week-old! But still fun to be there again after 9 years and reminisce.

We couldn't settle for this perfectly good picture and tried to get one with a little better lighting and this is what happened:










That was me trying to get the pacifier out at the last minute and hiding it behind my back! Why did I think that would work?

Here's a very cute Jenna at 6 weeks old. She is starting to out grow the newborn sizes and even some of the 0-3 months.










I got this next idea from a friend of a friend's blog. A great way to chronicle her age and the chair thing just helps compare how big she has gotten. She's having a little trouble keeping her head up in this one - but still so cute! (Overalls courtesy of Grandma). We can't stop kissing those cheeks!









We are enjoying having Papa and Mima here this week and are going to do some more home projects. The big one is tiling the kitchen counter. My brother said we should be on "Flip that House - Newborn edition!"

Happy July 4th!

Hope everyone is having (or had) a great July 4th. We're going to a friend's house for dinner and stuff. Jenna will be wearing this outfit she got from Grammy Sara and Della (My SFA nursing school co-workers and friends). So cute! It's pretty big on her, but she can be patriotic later too. This is her 5 week picture too.




















Uncle Geremy and Aunt Heather brought cousin Garrison and Grant on their way through to Gatesville. It was their first time to meet Jenna. We had a good time. Garrison is 3 1/2 years and Grant is 3 months. Here's Grant and Jenna sharing an ottoman.
