I meant to do this post when Jenna was 3 and a half, if I had done it then, I had planned to title it: Jenna 3.5, but, today she's 3 and 8 months, thus: Jenna 3.67. She is 38 inches tall, and weighs 32 lbs.

She still loves all things princess or fairy. Here she is dressed up as Snow White, an outfit from this cool box of princess outfits that Kellen gave to her. When she tells the story of Snow White, the evil queen drinks a "lotion" (potion) to become an old witch, then makes a "frozen apple" (poison apple). She has three different tiaras. Did you know there is a difference between how queens wear them and how princesses wear them? Who knew?!
She'll often get dressed up in her everyday clothes (or the princess clothes) and then want us to go to the foot of the stairs and "announce" her entrance. She says, "Mommy (or Daddy), say, 'Present.'" That means we have to say, "Presenting Princess (fill in the blank)." Then she makes her grand entrance down the stairs.

One evening, she became fascinated with washing dishes and begged to help. So, I gave her the soap thing and some dishes to wash. She was thrilled and said, "Mommy, washing dishes is my favorite thing to do!" She's volunteered a few times since then and she LOVES to start the dishwasher all by herself. She also likes things pretty orderly. If Kevin or I leave a cabinet door open or the pantry door cracked open, she'll come by and close it properly.

Her mermaid tail that she wanted for Christmas.

And she equally loves playing pirate! Love that!

She is still very musically and dramatically talented. There is a commercial playing right now and whenever it comes on, she says, "That song is from the Mickey Mouse movie!" (She gets that awesome song recognition from her Daddy). She is also creative with her imagination - one of my favorites is when she wants to play hide and seek in the car! Challenging (especially when you're driving), but fun! She picked out this guitar to buy with her Christmas money and loves
strumming away. She loves to watch movies and can recite and sing parts. She'll often ask to see the "features" (bonus features).

She has loved her brother so much from the very beginning. One day before he was born (early November, I think), she asked me, "Mommy, when is baby brother going to become a present?" I had told her a few days before, that she was a gift to us from God. So she wanted to know when her brother was going to come out and be a gift, too.

The transition hasn't been without difficulty, but I know for sure that she really loves her brother. I've learned this week that sometimes she loves him a little too much and can't be trusted alone with him for very long. : ) She tries to be such a big girl and a big helper. She wants to wear a "Big Sister" shirt everyday - good thing we have three of them.

Since Kellen has been born, she's become more of a Daddy's girl. I love these pictures of them together - sharing some fun, and sharing a secret.

Right after the new year, she all of a sudden made great improvements in her puzzle skills, coloring within the lines skills, and staying dry while sleeping. She has also learned to count to 6 in Spanish (seems like she learned this overnight)!
Things she's said that have made me smile lately:
"Mommy, I hope Daddy returns soon."
"We all have our seat belts on. If we don't have them on, we'll fall out of the car!"
"It's a beautiful day! The sun is shining, the birds are singing, and the wind is gently blowing!"
"Mommy, 'because' is not an answer." (At least we know she's listening.)
"The fairies were so frustrated."
Jenna and I have a special song ("The Way I Am" by Ingrid Michaelson, or Jenna calls it the "sweater song"). I love when she requests it and then sings along with me - she knows every word. We LOVE you Jenna!
