Friday, July 17th - Dad and Mom arrived from Kansas and Jenna arrived home from two nights at camp. Saturday, July 18th - Dad, Mom, Kevin, Jenna, Kellen, and I drove up to Winter Park. We arrived around dinner time and ordered Hernando's pizza (a favorite treat). After dinner, Kevin, Kellen, and I explored some new trails near the condo. And then, we played The Scrambled States of America game.
Sunday, July 19th - We watched our church online. And then, Matt, Leslie, Lincoln, and Carter arrived. We enjoyed lunch and playtime.
We went for a walk by the river and Kellen found a worm. Kevin offered Kellen $20 to chew it up and spit it out. And he did!!
Lots of fun throwing rocks in the water!
So nice to have trails and the river so close.
Cuddles with Carter!!
Lincoln created a make believe "riding horses" game that was pretty fun.
So nice to be outside in the cool mountain air!
Monday, July 20th - Some morning fun with Carter before heading to Grand Lake.
So cold . . .
but so fun!
Lincoln really wanted to jump off the dock. Maybe next year, buddy!
The cherry chocolate chip at Grand Lake Chocolates is something to look forward to every year!
Dad, Mom, Matt, Leslie, Lincoln, and Carter went back for Carter's nap. Kevin, Jenna, Kellen, and I stayed and did some shopping.
A little reading and playtime before dinner
Matt and Kevin went fishing after dinner. Kevin caught a beauty. Too bad rainbow trout are catch and release in this area.Tuesday, July 21st - Kellen FINALLY got to go fishing! Lincoln was excited to go, too!
This little pond is a good place to practice, but not great for actually catching anything.
Didn't catch anything, but still fun!
In the afternoon, we took Kellen out to St Louis Creek for a better chance for a catch.
He got one and named it, George!
Wednesday, July 22nd - Some morning excitement with Lincoln getting his fishing pole stuck up in the tree!
After Carter's nap, we went to the resort area. Last year, we were able to do a few things and then it started raining. So, we were able to get rain checks for this year. We were really glad to be able to go for free this year since the only open attractions were the gondola to the top of the mountain and mini golf.

Gondola ride fun
These two are quite a pair!
As are these two!
Glad we were able to get this one picture of all of us. We sure did miss David, Katie, and Owen this year!
We enjoyed some walk-up-and-order-and-eat-outside lunch. Some of the best chicken tenders and mac 'n cheese! Then, Dad, Mom, Matt, Leslie, and Carter went back for Carter's nap. Kevin, Jenna, Kellen, Lincoln, and I stayed for mini golf. This has got to be one of the most beautiful mini golf courses.
It was fun!
After a short rest, Kevin, Matt, and I went out fishing again.Kellen caught 5 fish in a little over an hour. He was so very happy! I love these pictures of him with each fish. He named them all after the Weasley family from the Harry Potter series. This is Ron, caught on the third cast of the day.

Thursday, July 23rd - We had no plans today. I took the kids on a little hike in the morning. And, after lunch, we took them to the new playground that we found last year.

Such a fun playground! And the roller slide - a favorite!
Thursday afternoon, Kevin and I took Kellen out because he wanted to catch a few more fish before the fish fry that night. This is Charlie. And this is Mr. Weasley. At the end, he had a fish that kept teasing him and he really wanted to catch it to complete the Weasley family. But, a thunderstorm was rolling in, so we had to leave. Kevin had caught one that day, so he named that one Mrs. Weasley - family complete. We made it back in time to put them in to cook and eat! The fresh trout dinner was amazing once again!
Friday, July 24th - Time spent playing around the condo. Kellen and Lincoln practiced their "casting" with Lincoln's fishing pole.
Matt, Jenna, Kellen, and Lincoln went on a bike ride/walk on the trail around the pond.
We spent time washing linens and packing up. Matt, Leslie, Lincoln, Carter, Kevin, Jenna, Kellen, and I went back to our house Friday afternoon. Matt, Leslie, Lincoln, and Carter left for Texas at 3:45 am Saturday. Dad and Mom came to our house to spend the night Saturday night and then left for Kansas Sunday morning. Another great vacation in the books, but we sure did miss the Floyds this year!
