Field trips, Tea parties, & Baby showers

Thursday, September 23rd, Jenna had her first field trip of the year to Glen Eyrie. I wasn't able to go with her, so I was glad that her teacher allowed the class to bring cameras.

Wednesday, September 28th, Kellen's teacher had a tea party for the class to celebrate the completion of their classroom read aloud of Mercy Watson. They had buttered toast, just like Mercy loves! I hear there are more tea parties to come.

Thursday, September 29th, Kellen had his first field trip ever! They went to Starsmore Discovery Center.

He was tired from attending Kevin's concert the night before and in need of a snack so there were some cranky fussy moments. Moments that probably wouldn't have happened if I wasn't there.

Friday, September 30th - Mrs. Eggert's 4th grades from last year and this year had a baby shower for her. Jenna was excited to give her the burp cloths we made (inspired by our friend, Jenni).

We have a new nephew - September 24, 2016, 2:19 am!! Owen Wayne Floyd - 6 lbs, 14 oz, 18.5 inches. Happy birthday dear Owen!

Football Season

We kicked off football season this year when our alma mater came to town to play Air Force. ACU hosted a fun alumni pizza party, Sept. 2nd, the night before the game. (We also were celebrating my last day of clinical - 120 hours!)

It was great weather, a fun atmosphere, and ACU made a decent showing even though they lost.

Friday, Sept. 9th - First game for LP. And it was COLD! Usually the first game is the warmest of the season. But, we broke out the coats, blankets, hot chocolate, and ring pops!
